family introductions

After daddy was back to his daily grind, mommy and johnny were very lucky to have lots of helpful visitors, especially since daddy got the flu on his second day back! Nana was there the next day and stayed for a week. Johnny hadn't smiled yet but he was very interested in her. Here he is checking her out:

Mostly Johnny slept during the day and kept Mommy and Daddy up at night. He even started smiling in his sleep...



And Sadie started feeling a bit neglected:

The two weeks flew by that daddy was home with us! Just before returning to work he got mommy an iphone so she would send him videos and pics everyday. Here's one of the early ones:

Two days later we were home, snuggling and learning the ropes. Daddy mastered the swaddle immediately. He even impressed the nurses with his technique!



And Johnny started to get bigger and more alert:

Better late than never...

Now that we are finally sleeping through most nights we are ready to tackle a few long overdue projects - one of which is starting johnny's blog so family and friends can see what he's been up to. We can't help but do a little recap of the past 9 months...

John Booker Griffin was born January 28, 2011, induced 1 day before his due date. He arrived weighing 7lbs 7 oz at 7pm. Mommy and Daddy snapped a few pictures for proof:






After a sleepless night for johnny and mommy, johnny finally crashed the next day and was the perfect snoozer during my photo shoot:
